A Country Artist, Ocala-Grown

At Workspace Collective, we're all about supporting not only area businesses, but also local artists and musicians. One such artist that we follow, support and enjoy is Ocala native Chris McNeil. This up-and-coming country musician will be Nashville-bound in no time with his new single, County Line.

Chris captured our hearts when he played an eclectic mix of country, blues and covers at our grand opening event in November 2019. Since then, he has performed at many of our member happy hours and functions. In fact, during the covid-19 quarantine this spring, he performed weekly virtual "Covid Couch Concerts" streamed from Workspace Collective on Facebook Live so that people could tune in and enjoy some live music while staying safe at home.

This hardworking Veteran has served his country and now finds his greatest joy entertaining others through his music.  Stationed on a Navy ship at sea, Chris McNeil taught himself to play guitar -- and has never stopped playing since. His pride for his hometown of Ocala is woven into his meaningful lyrics, while the soulfulness gained singing in the church choir comes across in each note he sings.
